Lord Alton of Liverpool invites you to a Parliamentary roundtable on universal jurisdiction to map and discuss UK initiatives on the topic and explore how best to support them.
During the roundtable, the Criminal Law Reform Now Network (CLRNN) will launch its new report - the International Cooperation and Extradition Scoping Review. The report, produced for the Law Commission of England and Wales, provides a comprehensive analysis and recommendations for reforming the UK’s frameworks on extradition, mutual legal assistance and criminal jurisdiction.
The event will bring together parliamentarians, legal practitioners, academics, and civil society representatives to discuss the report’s findings with a particular focus on the pressing need for reform of universal and extraterritorial jurisdiction.
The roundtable offers an opportunity to:
